Gripe The audio to MIDI feature could use some work. £289 Hype Great value for money, improved session and arrangement views plus a huge library of sounds. Summary A groove box that has become a huge hit with beat makers across a plethora of genres thanks to Maschine's amazing sounds, slick workflow and gorgeous hardware interface. Gripe At this price there is no finding fault with this rather excellent beat machine. £399 Hype Coloured LED buttons plus a full version of Massive and a fancy new white colour scheme option make Maschine V2 a very tempting proposition indeed. Gripe Steinberg have stuck to their dongle based copy protection which will annoy some users Summary Cubase is the king when it comes best cross platform DAWs thanks to feature set that consistently keeps it well ahead of the competition 8/10 ![]() £369 Hype A fantastic set of new features, improvements to the workflow and interface that make Cubase even easier to use plus the option to work with other musicians via the web with live two way audio and video. ![]()
