My population started inching up, one by one. I noticed that a lot of the radiation signs had disappeared. By this point the 45 rating had inched up to more like 65. With more micromanagement, and ignoring everything I didn't need for my building, I knocked down four more tower blocks and got four more green amusement places built, one by one. The 'green' index in the bottom right corner improved a couple of points, which encouraged me. With considerable micromanagement and use of god powers I managed to get one park built. I knocked one down, and plotted a park on that spot. Fortunately, so many nuggets had died I had a lot of empty residential skyscrapers. Also, my city was packed and I had no spare space for parks. Also since nobody was getting educated none of my advanced factories were running. I had around 50 nuggets left out of 350, and so few of them were working I had to micromanage which workplaces were running. At least, that was my guess.īy this time I couldn't get anything done easily. I put 2 and 2 together and figured out that although the game said 'trees' what it meant was green recreation buildings: the ones which look like parks. I posted asking for help and someone replied that if I had a lot of pollution I didn't have enough recreation. But my nuggets just kept cutting them down even though they had hundreds of pallets of wood already. The game says that trees keep pollution under control, so I used some godly powers to make forests. I finally figured out I was somehow causing this problem and started worrying about my 'green' indicator in the bottom right corner, which said something like 38. Also, in a triumph of irony, in this game I'd chosen to use treadmills and it was very rare for anyone to use them, so I had to spend god powers to keep some charge in my batteries. But it got worse and worse and eventually I started getting radiation signs on the ground too, I could no longer keep pollution under control and my nuggets started dying off. Somewhere around modern age I started getting green pollution off all the lakes, and had to use most of my power in keeping it under control. To begin with, there was no apparent result and I concluded that parks just weren't implemented yet. So in one playthrough I just didn't build any. DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON"T WANT THE GAME SPOILED FOR YOU.Īfter my first few playthroughs I was unable to see what benefit building parks had. That's the short version which is all you need. I truly believe that The Universim will satisfy the tastes of all types of players.I ignored nature requirements in an early game. You can be good or evil or somewhat indifferent. You can impart so much of yourself in it, too. It’s both challenging and incredibly entertaining to guide this little civilization over the years. You have to experience it for yourself to really understand what I’m talking about. It tends to feel familiar, but offers something entirely new. Sasha Shumski, a producer at Crytivo, concluded: Discover vibrant alien planets with a diverse range of flora and fauna.
